valuEU

The Medical University of Bialystok, which has been an associated partner of the European University EUNICE since 2023, has received support from the NAWA program for the "valuEU" project.

The Medical University of Bialystok has been selected as one of the beneficiaries of the NAWA European Universities Support Program. The support of PLN 1,979,991.24 will increase the presence of UMB within the European University EUNICE. The awarded project proposal was written by employees of the International Cooperation Department: Sylwia Klepacka and Jakub Wszeborowski, in close collaboration with staff from the European University Department of Poznan University of Technology – the EUNICE leader. Poznan University of Technology is also the official partner of the "valuEU" project.

This is fantastic news and a huge opportunity to further strengthen the cooperation between Poznan University of Technology and the Medical University of Bialystok within the EUNICE framework. We are writing the next chapter in this still-developing, very successful history of our cooperation – commented the results of the recruitment process the Rector of UMB, Prof. Marcin Moniuszko, PhD.

The "valuEU" project increases UMB’s potential to act within the European University EUNICE. The planned tasks in the project include:
• Preparation and dissemination of joint scientific publications with researchers from the EUNICE Alliance.
• Conducting interdisciplinary training for representatives of universities in the EUNICE alliance, delivered by highly qualified UMB staff.
•  Organizing mutual exchanges of PhD students and staff between UMB and its partners.
•  Running a promotional campaign on social media and promoting UMB at the EUNICE booth during international conferences and educational fairs.

The NAWA "Support for European Universities" program is the first Polish program supporting the activities of entities within the European Universities Initiative. The program’s strategic aim is to create a supportive environment for the development and maintenance of international academic partnerships, complementing actions undertaken under the Erasmus+ program related to the operation of European University alliances (more information is available on the NAWA website). The program is financed by the European Union under the project "Support for European University Alliances" with project number FERS.01.05-IP.08-0219/23 (FERS Projects).
