PRESS RELEASE
EUNICE European University presents its activities during EAIE 2025
The European Commission's European Universities Initiative is changing the face of higher education across Europe. One of its pillars is the EUNICE alliance – European University for Customised Education, within which Poznan University of Technology cooperates with nine other universities from Europe. EUNICE joined a record number of 35 European university alliances at the EAIE 2025 conference in Gothenburg (9–12 September) to show how international cooperation translates into modern education and realistically changes students' everyday lives.
EAIE is the largest event in Europe dedicated to the internationalisation of higher education and the second largest in the world. This year's theme, "Go-Create", fits perfectly with EUNICE's mission, which focuses on personalised and flexible educational pathways that meet the needs of students, society and the labour market.
Since the inception of the European University EUNICE, Poznan University of Technology has been the project coordinator, as the only public university in the country.
Through initiatives such as joint study programmes, micro-credentials, virtual mobility, international internships and student club activities, EUNICE gives young people the space to shape their own academic path. At the same time, it strengthens cooperation between universities and the business environment and supports regional development by connecting local talent with global opportunities.
During EAIE 2025, the alliance will be present at stand P145, where it will present its best practices to institutions from around the world. EUNICE shows that European cooperation not only promotes innovation and opens up new perspectives for students, but also strengthens the competitiveness of entire regions. In times of rapid technological and social change, it is joint action that proves to be the key to building a modern and resilient higher education system – a system that benefits not only students, but also local communities and economies.
The European Universities Initiative was launched in 2019 and currently comprises 65 alliances and 8 Seal of Excellence alliances, bringing together more than 570 institutions. Its aim is to promote innovation, mobility and openness in European higher education. An important part of this year's EAIE conference programme will also be a joint session organised by the FOREU4ALL community and the European Commission. The meeting will be aimed at institutions that are not yet part of the initiative. The aim of the session is to show how the shared experiences and tools developed by the alliances can support the entire higher education sector.
