Students of the Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications at Poznan University of Technology organized a unique cybersecurity competition – the PUT CTF Web Security Challenge, which captured the attention of network security enthusiasts from various corners of Europe. A total of 38 participants took part in the competition, which was actively supported by the EUNICE European University Office, also sponsoring the main prizes – a one-year subscription to the TryHackMe platform.
The winner of the competition was a student from the University of Catania, who achieved an impressive score of 312 points, outperforming all rivals. A special mention went to PUT Cybersecurity student Mateusz Wiśniewski, who solved all the challenges in record time. The organizers ensured a smooth competition experience, providing technical support to participants and monitoring system performance throughout the event.
Participants were able to communicate with organizers via a Discord server, where issues were promptly addressed.
The entire event proceeded without major technical difficulties, highlighting the professionalism and dedication of the Poznan University of Technology students in organizing such initiatives. The PUT CTF Web Security Challenge not only enhanced the technical skills of participants but also increased their awareness of web application security threats.
