Digitalization in mechanical engineering

‘Digitalization in mechanical engineering’ - we are at the halfway point!

The Digitalisation in Mechanical Engineering project is being implemented at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Poznan University of Technology and is funded by the National Agency for Academic Exchange as part of its support for academic cooperation with a Ukrainian university. The project implements complementary activities to those undertaken by Poznan University of Technology as part of the European University Alliance, EUNICE European University. As part of the project, which will run until December this year, we are working with Sumy State University, in particular with the team led by Professor Vitaly Ivanov from the Faculty of Technical Systems and Energy Efficient Technologies.

Nine tasks will be carried out as part of the project. Three of them are active participation in international scientific conferences in the field of mechanical engineering. These tasks have already been completed and the Poznan University of Technology and Sumy State University staff presented the results of the research, prepared within the framework of 16 scientific articles, to an international audience by participating in the
- 8th International Scientific-Technical Conference MANUFACTURING (held in Poznañ on 14-16 May),
- 7th International Conference on Design Simulation, Manufacturing: The Innovation Exchange DSMIE (to be held on 4-7.06.2024 in Plzen, Czech Republic)
- 3rd International Conference on Innovation in Engineering ICIE (to be held on 26-28.06.2024 in São Miguel, Portugal).

All papers have already been published in the conference proceedings published by Springer as part of the Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering series. We would like to thank the researchers of the EUNICE University Centres for their advice and valuable comments, thanks to which our publications were highly appreciated by the reviewers.
